About Us

Basketball is good for you in many ways. In addition to aerobic training, sport-specific skills are practiced. Moreover, the benefits go beyond physical. “Athletics mirrors life, measuring success not by winning or losing, but by improving.” It teaches us to work together toward a common goal, and you deal with success and failure which are all apart of training and a part of life.

Today, in most basketball leagues and tournaments, the taller players are the first chosen. There’s a popular saying, “you can’t coach height.” There are a lot of very skilled basketball players who are denied the opportunity of league play because of being too short! The ALL NETS basketball association will expose those players and launch the much-needed league.

Our league is for players 5’9” or shorter / to compete on 9-foot goals!

STEVE MCRAE (Founder)

Over 30 Years of Experience in the drug and alcohol testing industry

Steve became a victim of gun violence in 2016. The now paralyzed entrepreneur added a nonprofit arm to the All-Nets world which help middle / high school teens DO BETTER. The program's focus is LOVE & LIFE DESIGN.

What is LOVE: Love is something that is cultivated between two individuals and grows over time, through getting to know each other and experiencing life's many ups and downs together. It involves commitment, time, mutual trust, and acceptance.

What is LIFE DESIGN: Life Design is about working from where we are and with what we have - to design and build a meaningful, joyful, and fulfilling life, one that is aligned with our values, beliefs, and interests. We help teenagers figure out life after high school before graduation day sneaks up on them.

Steve's favorite quote is,

"We live in a world that's not understood the definition may never be found;

probably best for our own good, fore it keeps our God around."

Jimmy Black (Board President)

College career

Largely attributable to his quickness, Black led his UNC Tar Hill team in steals and was considered the top defender on his team.  He served as his team's quarterback and had innate court sense.

Black played in the NCAA Tournament all four years at UNC. As the playmaker on the 1981–82 championship team, he was responsible for directing the ball to teammates James Worthy, Sam Perkins and freshman swingman Michael Jordan. Black had a close relationship with coach Dean Smith.
